Women's Swimming and Diving Places 10th on Day Three of NJAC Championship

COLLEGE PARK, MD. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team tallied 153 points for 10th place after day three of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship Feb. 17 at the University of Maryland Natatorium.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Junior Samantha Pricken (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) advanced to the 100 back B Final with a 1:01.71 finish in the preliminary round. In the final, she placed eighth with a time of 1:01.91.
  • The quartet of Pricken, sophomore Sarah Gomez (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech), senior Hailey Krajewski (Clifton, N.J./DePaul Catholic) and graduate student Rose Vail (Phoenix, Md./Dulaney) finished 10th in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:45.00.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Krajewski secured a personal best in the 100 fly preliminary round (1:03.47).
  • Gomez (1:12.56) and senior Nicole Kahwaty (Lake Hopatcong, N.J./Morris County Tech) (1:17.55) notched personal records in the 100 breast preliminary round.

UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson returns to action Sunday, Feb. 18, at the University of Maryland Natatorium for the final day of the NJAC Championship. Preliminary rounds begin at 9:30 a.m. and finals at 5:30 p.m.
