WAYNE, N.J.- The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (9-5, 0-5 NJAC) fell short in its regular-season finale against Montclair State (7-2-1, 3-3-1 NJAC), 136-115, Feb 5.
TOP PERFORMERS:
- Senior Megan Hoopes (Westmont, N.J./Haddon Twp.) ended the day for WP with a first-place finish in the 100 fly (1:07.31) and two second-place finishes in the 100 free (58.10), and 200 fly (2:30.30).
- Senior Taylor Friedman (South Amboy, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) contributed to the Pioneer total, touching the wall first in the 200 IM (2:33.31), second in the 200 back (2:30.35), and fourth in the 100 back (1:06.87).
- Senior Leah Santonastaso (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) registered a first-place effort in the 500 free with a time of 6:35.01, a third-place effort in the 1,650 free with a time of 22:46.27, and a fourth-place effort in the 100 free with a time of 22:46.27.
