Women’s Swimming and Diving Moves up to Sixth After Second Day at Mets

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team completed its second day at the Metropolitan Championships moving up to sixth out of 13 Division III schools and sixth place out of 15 overall schools that competed Feb. 18.
 
 
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Senior Sara Haller (Cupertino, Calif./Monta Vista) notched a score of 323.00 on her three-meter dive, earning a third-place finish for WP.
  • Senior Megan Hoopes (Westmont, N.J./Haddon Twp.) advanced to the B-finals in the 50 free, tying for seventh place in the heat with a time of 25.36.
  • Sophomore Abigail Malandro (Beach Haven, N.J./Southern Regional) advanced to the C-finals in the 50 free where she earned a third-place finish (25.43).
 
UP NEXT:
  • William Paterson returns to Rutgers University for day three of the Metropolitan Championships Saturday, Feb. 19 with preliminary rounds starting at 9:30 a.m.
