PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team completed its first day at the Metropolitan Championships with an eighth-place finish amongst eight Division III schools and tenth place of 10 overall schools in the 800 free relay Feb. 17.
 
 
TOP PERFORMERS:

• The WP 800 free relay team consisted of sophomore Abigail Malandro (Beach Haven, N.J./Southern Regional), sophomore Nicole Kahwaty (Lakke Hopatcong, N.J./Morris County Tech), junior Emily Murphy (Stockholm, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) and senior Leah Santonastaso (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional). The group finished with an overall time of 9:30.94.
