Men’s Swimming and Diving Sits in Ninth After First Day of Mets

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team completed its first day at the Metropolitan Championships with a ninth-place finish amongst nine Division III schools and eleventh place amongst 11 overall schools in the 800 free relay, Feb. 17.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • The Pioneers 800 free relay team consisted of sophomore Andrew Colligan (Andover, N.J./Sussex County Tech), senior Valentine Perez (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West), senior William Pike (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) and senior Thomas Haughey (Folsom, Pa./Ridley). The group finished with an overall time of 8:12.60.

  • William Paterson continues at the Metropolitan Championships Friday, Feb. 18 with preliminary rounds starting at 9:30 a.m.
