Senior Thomas Haughey registered three second-place finishes for the Pioneers.

Men’s Swimming & Diving Suffers a 148-75 Setback at TCNJ

TRENTON, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (6-5, 0-3 NJAC) suffered a 148-75 setback on the road at the College of New Jersey (4-2, 3-1 NJAC) Feb. 1.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Senior Thomas Haughey (Folsom, Pa./Ridley) earned three second-place finishes in the 100 back (1:11.41), the 200 back (2:34.05), and the 500 free (6:19.22).
  • Freshman Shane Apito (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) also registered three second place finishes for WP in the 100 fly (1:01.56), 200 fly (2:24.31), and the 200 IM (2:26.60).
  • Senior William Pike (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) contributed to the Pioneer total, touching the wall second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:14.60 and the 200 breast with a time of 2:43.70.

  • William Paterson closes out its regular season meets at Wightman Pool against Montclair State Saturday, February 5th at 1:00 p.m.
