Men’s Swimming and Diving Drop Season Opener to TCNJ

Belina recorded second and third place finishes
WAYNE, N.J. – The Men's Swimming and Diving team (0-1, 0-1 NJAC) fell in their season opener, 158-76, against conference rival The College of New Jersey (1-0, 1-0 NJAC) Feb. 13.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Freshman Andrew Colligan (Andover, N.J./Sussex County Technical) earned two second-place finishes in the 50 fly (28.02) and 100 back (56.24). Colligan also placed third in the 50 free (24.72).
  • Classmate Jackson Forrest (Lewes, Del./Wayne Valley) contributed points to the Pioneer score by touching second in the 100 back (1:08.22), touching third in the 50 back (30.34), and touching fourth in the 50 free (26.73).
  • Junior William Pike (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) placed second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:15.93. Pike also placed third in the 50 breast with a time of 33.87.
  • Senior Bradley Belina (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) touched third in the 1000 free (11:36.80), followed later with a second-place finish in the 500 free (5:41.02).

UP NEXT:
  • WP will return to Wightman Pool Saturday, Feb. 20 at 1:00 p.m. as they virtually compete against Montclair State.
