Senior William Pike Earned second place finishes in the 100 Breast and 500 Free.

Men’s Swimming and Diving Falls in Conference Opener at Rowan, 119-51

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson Men's swimming and diving team (0-2, 0-1 NJAC) fell in its first road and conference opener at Rowan (2-0, 1-0 NJAC), 119-51 on Nov. 5.

TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Senior William Pike (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) contributed 10 points to the WP total: touching the wall second in both the 100 breast (1:14.39) and 500 free (6:14.20). Pike also finished fifth in the 200 free (2:11.96).
  • Sophomore Andrew Colligan (Andover, N.J./Sussex County Tech) posted a second-place finish in 100 free with a time of 56.68 and a fifth-place finish in the 50 Free with a time of 25.26.
  • Freshman Shane Apito (Lake Hiawatha, N.J./Parsippany) also contributed to the Pioneer total, finishing second in the 100 fly (1:00.07) and fifth in the 200 IM (2:21.11).
  • Sophomore Jackson Forrest (Lewes, Del./Wayne Valley) also earned a second-place finish for WP in the 100 back with a time of 1:06.48.
