Women's Swimming and Diving Unable to Hold Off TCNJ

The Pioneers Fell to the Lions, 186-95

The Pioneers completed their regular season with multiple personal bests.

WAYNE, N.J. – The women's swimming and diving team (12-4, 1-4 NJAC) could not hold off conference rival The College of New Jersey (6-1, 4-1 NJAC), dropping a 186-95 decision Feb. 1.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Junior Iris Santos (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) recorded a personal best in the 200 free to place fourth. The junior also touched second in two other races, the 50 free (27.80) and the 100 free (1:00.64).
Senior Ashley Lawler (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) earned 208.35 points in the one-meter dive and 208.95 points in the three-meter dive to place second in both diving events.
Freshman Stephany Bolanos (Perth Amboy, N.J./Academy for Allied Health & Biomedical Sciences) dropped nine seconds from her previous personal-best performance in the 200 breast, taking third place in the event with a time of 3:18.98.
Freshman Jillian Starace (Toms River/Toms River East) also posted a personal best, touching third in the 200 back (2:37.60).
Senior Anna Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) touched the wall in 2:42.08 in the 200 fly to tally a personal best and a fifth place finish.
Senior Mariah Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) was another Pioneer with a personal-best performance, taking second place in the 200 breast with a time of 2:55.86.
Sophomore Megan Hoopes (Westmont, N.J./Haddon Twp.) posted a personal best in the 200 IM to finish second (2:31.38).
