Women's Swimming and Diving Topped by Montclair State

The Pioneers fell to the Red Hawks, 122-96

Three Pioneers took home individual victories.

MONTCLAIR, N.J. – Women's Swimming and Diving (12-2, 1-2 NJAC) was topped by Montclair State (6-4, 3-2 NJAC), 122-96, in a conference road meet Jan. 25.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Senior Mariah Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) out-paced the competition in the 200 breast with a final time of 2:58.28.
Senior Ashley Lawler (Linwood, N.J./Mainland Regional) produced a first-place performance in the one-meter optional diving event with 154.65 points.
Sophomore Megan Hoopes (Westmont, N.J./Haddon Twp.) placed first in the 200 fly (2:33.66).
The Pioneers took home top points in the 200 free relay to conclude the women's side of the meet. Efforts from junior Iris Santos (Paterson, N.J./Passaic County Tech) (27.91), freshman Jillian Starace (Toms River/Toms River East) (29.84), senior Anna Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) (30.48) and sophomore Leah Santonastaso (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) (32.14) allowed for a 2:00.37 finish.
