PISCATAWAY, N.J. –The women's swimming and diving team finished its season by posting its best Metropolitan Championships finish of the last five years, placing sixth of 13 Division III teams and eighth of 17 total teams with 298 points Feb. 24. 
 

TOP PERFORMERS:

• The WP 400 free relay touched third in the B Final with a time of 3:54.05.  The quartet consisted of senior Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) (59.23), freshman Taylor Friedman (South Amboy, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) (57.50), senior Christianne Joyce Pineda (Haskell, N.J./Hackensack) (59.76), and senior Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) (57.56).
• Reynolds touched fourth in the B final of the 200 back, taking her season-best time of 2:17.13. 
• Friedman completed the same race in 2:22.55 for eighth in the C Final, yet she swam her season-best time in the preliminary trial of the race (2:20.46). 
• Junior Anna Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) recorded a season-best time of 2:32.13 in the 200 fly to place sixth in the C Final.
• Murphy placed 18^th in the 1650 free with a personal-best time of 20:05.46. 
• Freshman Leah Santonastaso (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) took 22^nd in the same race with her season-best time of 20:48.89. 
• Sophomore Sarah Myers (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) also completed the event with a season-best mark  (23.37.50).
