Men's Swimming and Diving is Overcome by Rowan in Conference Opener

The Pioneers Notch Top Points in the 200 Free Relay

Junior John Conlow registered two personal best times and contributed to the 200 free relay.

WAYNE, N.J. –The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (3-3, 0-1 NJAC) was overcome 126-81 by NJAC competition Rowan (2-1, 2-0 NJAC) Nov. 9.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Bradley Belina (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) touched third in the 1000 free with a time of 11:18.81. The junior also touched third in the 500 free with a time of 5:28.64.
Senior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) placed third in the 200 free (1:55.84) followed by second place performances in the 100 back (1:02.98) and the 500 free (5:24.64).
Senior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) touched second in three races against the Profs. He completed the 50 free in 23.39, the 100 free in 51.09 and the 100 breast in 1:09.28.
John Conlow (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) recorded a new personal best in the 200 IM, placing second (2:24.82). The junior also contributed points in the 500 free, touching fourth with another personal best (5:45.88).
The Pioneers notched 11 points in the 200 free relay. Junior Joey Croce (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) (25.84), Belina (51.94), freshman Jason Peralta (Hackensack, N.J./Hackensack) (29.89) and Conlow (25.61) worked together for the 1:47.44 finish.
