A Pair of Double Winners Keeps Men's Swimming and Diving on Track for a 90-64 Triumph Over Old Westbury

WAYNE, N.J. – Junior Valentine Perez (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton) and senior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) each won two events to boost the William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (2-0) to a 90-64 triumph over Old Westbury (0-1) for WP's second straight victory Oct. 15.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Perez tallied two individual victories against the Panthers. He touched first in the 200 IM (2:26.38), then later swam a time of 1:14.34 in the 100 breast to out-touch his competitors.
Logue was a double winner for the second meet in a row, claiming the 50 free in 23.70 and the 100 free in 51.69.
Junior Bradley Belina (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) completed the 1000 free in 11:24.59 to post top points for the Pioneers.
Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) out-touched all other swimmers in the 200 free by almost three seconds (1:56.53). The senior also came just shy of a first-place finish in the 500 free, touching the wall in 5:19.16.
