COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (8-2, 1-1 NJAC) utilized senior
Casey Murphy's (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) three victories and senior
Quinn Reynolds' (Delran, N.J./Delran) two wins to upend SUNY Cobleskill (4-10), 115-52, Jan. 15.
TOP PERFORMERS:
- Murphy touched first in the 1650 free with a time of 20:57.32 and the 100 free with a time of 1:04.67. She also took home the 500 free by touching the wall in 6:06.39.
- Reynolds was a double winner by swimming the 50 free in 27.66 and the 200 back in 2:24.00.
- Freshman Morgan Hodges (Howell, N.J./Freehold Twp.) recorded a time of 2:25.44 to defeat her opponents in the 200 free.
- Junior Mariah Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) completed the 100 breast in 1:20.12 to take first in the race.
- Taylor Friedman (South Amboy, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) touched first in the 200 IM. The freshman notched a time of 2:39.04.
- Freshman Leah Santonastaso (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) tallied a personal best time of 6:26.86 to claim second in the 500 free.
UP NEXT:
- The women's swimming and diving team returns home on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 1:00 p.m. to recognize its seniors as it hosts Bard.
