PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Through 13 events and two days at the Metropolitan Championships, the William Paterson women's swimming and diving team is 13th of 18 total teams and 10th of 15 Division III opponents, after seeing competition in three event finals, Feb. 17.
The first of three finals appearances came in the 200 medley relay, with junior
Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran), sophomore
Mariah Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour), sophomore
Anna Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) and junior
Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) touching the wall fourth in the B Final (1:57.54), the fastest such time of the season for the Pioneers in that event.
Reynolds turned in an opening 50 back (28.09) time just 0.89 shy of the WP school record, and also posted a career-best mark during a second-place finish in the 100 back C Final (1:00.40).
WP's final appearance in the finals on the day came in the 800 free relay. Murphy, freshman

Katelyn Diva (North Haledon, N.J./Paramus Catholic) and junior
Christianne Joyce Pineda (Haskell, N.J./Hackensack) took 13th (9:08.05).
Seven more events remain for the Pioneers at Rutgers University during the third and final day of Mets, with the prelims slated to resume at 9:30 a.m., Feb. 18.
