Men's Swimming and Diving Suffers First NJAC Loss of the Season

The Pioneers Recorded Multiple Second Place Finishes at Rowan

Junior Eamon Logue came in second and third in his individual races.
GLASSBORO, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (3-3, 0-1 NJAC) was defeated by Rowan (3-1, 2-0 NJAC), 159-66, in conference competition Nov. 9.   
 
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Junior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) came in second in the 100 back with a time of 103.90, and came in third in the 50 free with a time of 23.29.
  • Senior Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) touched the wall second in the 100 back with a time of 1:00.66.
  • Vincent Giallombardo (Cottage Grove, Wisc./Monona Grove) swam the 100 back in 1:06.77.  The sophomore's time earned him second place in the race. 
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Bradley Belina (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) notched two personal best times.  The sophomore swam the 1000 free in 11:14.86, and the 500 free in 5:29.84.
 
UP NEXT:
  • WP returns to Wightman Pool on Tuesday, Nov. 13, to compete against Purchase at 6:00 p.m.
