Women's Swimming and Diving Opens its Season by Defeating Old Westbury

Pioneers Record 53-9 Triumph

Senior Casey Murphy took home both the 1000 free and the 500 free.

WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (1-0) started its season with a 53-9 triumph at Old Westbury (0-1) Oct. 15.

TOP PERFORMERS:

Senior Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) was a double winner in the 1000 free with a time of 12:26.48, and the 500 free with a time of 5:57.65.
Senior Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) also earned two individual wins, finishing first in the 50 free (26.59) and the 100 back (1:06.12).
Freshman Kassey Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) also earned a double winner title by touching the wall first in the 200 IM (2:31.06) and the 100 free (59.28).
Freshman Taylor Friedman (South Amboy, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) notched a victory in the 100 fly with a time of 1:09.36.
Junior Mariah Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) was a winner in the 100 breast with a time of 1:22.04.
Junior Anna Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) touched the wall in 2:29.78 to dominate the 200 free.
