Men's Swimming and Diving Notches its Second Straight Victory

The Pioneers Defeated Old Westbury 84-64

Junior Terrence Hopkins touched the wall first in the 100 breast.
WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (2-0) notched its second straight victory by defeating Old Westbury (0-1) 84-64 Oct. 15.
 
TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Junior Jimmy Sharkey (Hamilton, N.J./Hamilton West) recorded two individual wins, finishing first in the 1000 free (11:18.93) and the 500 free (5:29.07).
  • Junior Terrence Hopkins (Landing, N.J./Roxbury) finished first in the 100 breast with a time of 1:14.60.
  • Sophomore Jonathan Vela (Prospect Park, N.J./Passaic County Tech) earned a victory in the 100 fly by completing the race in 1:01.46.
  • Junior Eamon Logue (Vernon, N.J./Vernon Twp.) touched the wall in 51.27 to dominate the 100 free.
  • Senior Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) recorded a win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.63.
