WAYNE, N.J.  – Five individual winners, three of whom were double winners, helped the William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (6-1) coast by the Old Westbury Panthers (2-6), 99-72, on Parents Appreciation Day Dec. 2.

A freshman, sophomore and junior each posted double-winning performances during the Pioneers' sixth consecutive non-conference victory this season. First-year Kelsey Vespe (Mt. Ephraim, N.J./Audubon) took the 200 free (2:14.29) and 100 free (1:01.00), sophomore Mariah Jenkins (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) came in first during the 200 IM (2:44.50) and 100 breast (1:17.78), and junior Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) posted another two wins by touching first in the 50 free (26.80) and 100 back (1:03.93), finishing under the 1:04 mark for the second time this year.

Sophomore Anna Boyton (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) won the 100 fly (1:07.19) and freshman Daisey Ferraiuolo (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.) continued a strong rookie season by winning the 500 free (6:30.91) as WP finished with two single winners.

The Pioneers added victories in both of the relay events. Freshman Sarah Myers (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) claimed her first collegiate win by helping senior Katelyn Diva (North Haledon, N.J./Paramus Catholic), Jenkins and Boyton win the 200 medley (2:13.00), finishing 20.57 ahead of Old Westbury. Reynolds anchored the Pioneers with a 27.34 split, joining Vespe, Boyton and Ferraiuolo in a first-place time in the 200 free relay (1:58.88).

Next up for women's swimming and diving are the Kean Cougars (0-5, 0-3 NJAC), who come to Wightman Pool for a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) meet Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 6:00 p.m.
