PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team finished ninth of 16 teams overall, and sixth of 12 Division III schools, at the 2016 Metropolitan Championships Feb. 21.
Freshman
Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) touched 15th in the 1,650 free (20:19.36), and senior
Patricia Keene (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.) came in 18th (20:26.41).
Junior
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) finished third in the 200 breast A Final with a time of 2:24.00.
In the 200 fly C Final, junior
Christine Gustafson (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) touched third (2:28.14), freshman
Christianne Joyce Pineda (Haskell, N.J./Hackensack) came in seventh (2:39.99), and senior
Claudia Rossi (Cedar Grove, N.J./Cedar Grove) finished in eighth place (2:41.04).
