PISCATAWAY, N.J. - After the second day of the Metropolitan Championships on Feb. 20, the William Paterson women's swimming and diving team was ninth out of 16 teams.
Junior
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley)Â touched fourth in the 400 IM A Final (4:42.04), breaking the previous school record which she held, and she also finished third in the 100 breast A Final (1:06.98).
The 200 medley relay team of senior
Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional), Blazevska, freshman
Christianne Joyce Pineda (Haskell, N.J./Hackensack) and freshman
Quinn Reynolds (Delran, N.J./Delran) finished eighth in the A Final (1:55.08).
Reynolds swam the 100 back in 1:02.96, earning eighth in the B Final.
Junior
Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) recorded a score of 338.25 in the one-meter dive, receiving seventh.
Freshman
Casey Murphy (Hardyston, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional),

Patricia Keene (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.), juniorÂ
Cassandra Beck (Lusby, Md./Patuxent)Â and English made up the Pioneers' 800 free relay team, finishing 11th in a time of 8:41.34.
William Paterson will finish competition at the Metropolitan Championships Sunday, Feb. 21.
