PISCATAWAY, N.J. - After the second day of the Metropolitan Championships on Feb. 20, the William Paterson men's swimming and diving team was 10th out of 16 teams.
Sophomore
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills)Â broke the 400 IM school record, swimming a 4:12.39 to place first in the B Final. Junior
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) touched fourth in the C Final (4:30.76).
The Pioneer 200 medley relay team of Taboadela, senior
Nicolai Robinson (Matawan, N.J./Old Bridge), junior
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) and freshman
Drew Macchia (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) finished fourth in the B Final (1:41.35).
Junior
Grant Ashcraft (Penns Grove, N.J./Woodstown) swam the 100 back in 1:00.38, receiving eighth in the C Final.
Macchia, Cowie, Oiler and Robinson competed in the 800 free relay for the Pioneers. They finished eighth with a time of 7:25.40.
William Paterson will finish competition at the Metropolitan Championships Sunday, Feb. 21.
