EWING, N.J. – Freshman
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) set a new school record in the 200 IM but the William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (11-4, 0-4 NJAC) fell at conference foe No. 10 The College of New Jersey (7-2, 4-0 NJAC), 174-91, Feb. 7.
Taboadela swam the 200 IM in a time of 2:00.51, breaking the previous record of 2:00.54 by Voyta Karas (2009-10). He also finished second in the 100 back (58.33) and the 200 back (2:04.33).
Sophomore
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) raced to second place in the 100 (55.79) and 200 (2:10.22) flies.
The Pioneers' next meet will be the Metropolitan Championships held at Rutgers University Feb. 20-22.
