Junior Drops Decision During Seventh-Place Match

Junior Brittany LaBruna went to three sets during all three of her matches at USTA/ITA Nationals.

SUMTER, S.C. – William Paterson junior Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) lost 7-6 (7-3), 1-6, 5-7 to fourth-seeded Summer Garrison of Lewis & Clark during the seventh-place match at the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Small College Championships Oct. 17 at the Palmetto Tennis Center.

The unseeded LaBruna lost to second-seeded Ariana Iranpour of Chicago, 5-7, 6-2, 5-7, in the first round Oct. 15, and dropped a 7-5, 4-6, 3-6 decision to Pomona's Joy Kim during the second round Oct. 16.

WP will finish its fall season Sunday, Oct. 25, at Rutgers-Camden at 1:00 p.m.
