Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) won the NJAIAW Tennis Tournament Flight A singles title, and teamed up with senior
Summer Bernales (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) for a runner-up finish in the Flight A doubles competition Oct. 11 at Drew University.
LaBruna defeated Stevens' Alexis Conner in the semifinals and Stockton's Summer Conover in the final by identical 8-3 scores.
LaBruna and Bernales advanced through the semifinal with a walkover against Stevens' Katrina Guido and Sydney Zoretic, then fell 8-4 to Stevens' Alexis Conner and Julia Guignard in the doubles championship match.
LaBruna will compete at the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Small College Championships Oct. 15-18 at the Palmetto Tennis Center in Sumter, S.C.
