Video Highlights WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team improved to 4-1 on the season as the Pioneers defeated SUNY Cobleskill (3-2), 111-90, Nov. 13.
The Pioneers had four double winners to help propel them past the Fighting Tigers. Freshman
Anthony Taboadela (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) finished first in the 200 IM (2:09.63) and the 200 back (2:02.84), while sophomore
Jeremy Oiler (Hamilton, N.J./Nottingham) touched first in the 1,000 free (11:25.92) and the 500 free (5:29.35).
Juniors
Eric Tracey (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) and
Gennaro Sirianni (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) each placed first twice, Tracey in the 50 free (23.34) and the 100 free (52.61), and Sirianni in the one-meter (164) and three-meter (162.15) dives.
Junior
Nicolai Robinson (Matawan, N.J./Old Bridge) finished first in the 200 free (1:56.40), and classmate
Donado Dervishi (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) was the first to complete the 200 breast (2:28.23).
Sophomore
Nick Cowie (Newton, N.J./Newton) prevailed in the 200 fly, swimming a time of 2:14.40.
The Pioneers are back in action Wednesday, Nov. 19, when they will swim at Staten Island beginning at 6:00 p.m.
