WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming & diving team (9-3, 0-2 NJAC) was defeated by The College of New Jersey (4-2, 3-0), 170-109, Jan. 18.
Freshman
Vera Blazevska (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) was a double winner for the Pioneers, touching first in the 100 (1:13.26) and 200 (2:35.46) breasts. She also placed second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:26.47.
Junior
Sheri Brino (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley Regional) posted a winning time of 2:29.20 in the 100 back, and sophomore
Brittany English (Branchville, N.J./High Point Regional) touched second in the 50 free (27.96).
Freshman
Courtney Lawler (Northfield, N.J./Mainland Regional) broke the WP record in the one-meter dive (six dives) with a score of 218.40, good for second place. Senior
Katie Jeon (Fort Lee, N.J./Fort Lee) finished second in the three-meter dive with a score of 213.75.
William Paterson will celebrate Senior Day when it hosts Lehman on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 6:00 p.m.
