Women’s Soccer Draws St. Mary’s, 1-1

Senior goalkeeper Mary Jane Seiler made three saves for the Pioneers
Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The William Paterson women's soccer team (1-1-1) played to a 1-1 double-overtime draw against St. Mary's (1-0-2) in the Stevenson Tournament Sept. 7.

Sophomore midfielder Elena Grady (Washington Twp., N.J./Our Lady of Mercy Academy) put the Pioneers on the board in the 61st minute when she headed a Nicole Sullivan (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) corner kick into the net to give WP a 1-0 lead.

St. Mary's tied the match when Johanna Rambo scored after the goalkeeper dropped the ball on a free kick at the 82:12 mark.

Senior Mary Jane Seiler (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) made three saves to earn the win for the Pioneers. Sara Eaton made two saves for St. Mary's.

William Paterson will face Stevenson in the second round of the Stevenson Tournament Sunday, Sept. 8, at 12:00 p.m.
