MADISON, N.J. – William Paterson freshman Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) suffered her first singles loss of the season, falling in the NJAIAW Tennis Tournament Flight A championship match Oct. 13 at Drew University. Three other Pioneers took home consolation-bracket titles at the event.

LaBruna dropped a 6-4, 6-0 decision to Alexandra Livingston of Division I Saint Peter's, her first defeat in 18 singles matches this fall.

Junior Jessica Daniels (Edison, N.J./Edison) won the Flight B consolation final, 6-4, 6-1, against Kean's Erin Hendricks and senior Fallon Conry (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) took the Flight C consolation title, 7-5, 6-1, against Maggie Tchorzewska of Rutgers-Newark. Sophomore Summer Bernales (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) defeated classmate Charisse Smalls (Lakewood, N.J./Lakewood) in the Flight D consolation final, 8-2.

William Paterson will finish its fall schedule Thursday, Oct. 17, at Rutgers-Camden at 3:00 p.m.
