MADISON, N.J. – Freshman Brittany LaBruna (Bloomingdale, N.J./Continental Academy) advanced to the Flight A championship match as William Paterson competed Oct. 12 at the NJAIAW Tennis Tournament held at Drew University.

Following a first-round bye, LaBruna defeated Drew's Sofia Madrigal, 8-3, and Adina Halagian of Saint Peter's, 6-0, 6-3. She will face Saint Peter's Alexandra Livingston in the final Sunday, Oct. 13.

Sophomore Caitlin Pariso (Old Bridge, N.J./Old Bridge) earned an 8-0 win against Ashleigh Fernandez of Drew in the first round of Flight C. Following a bye, she suffered a 6-3, 6-3 loss against Laura Church of Richard Stockton in the semifinal round.

Senior Fallon Conry (Sayreville, N.J./Sayreville War Memorial) started play in Flight C with an 8-3 victory against Kean's Brianna Martin but then lost, 8-1, to Gianna Letinski of Richard Stockton.

Junior Jessica Daniels (Edison, N.J./Edison) picked up a 9-7 win against Christy Verdi of Kean in Flight B before an 8-3 loss against Drew's Jessica Cheng.

Also in Flight B, junior Kristy Daubert (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) fell to Erin Hendricks of Kean, 9-7.

In Flight D, freshman Ashley Vidal (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) lost to Sophie Fernandez of Richard Stockton, 8-0. Sophomore Summer Bernales (Jersey City, N.J./Dickinson) dropped an 8-1 decision to Fernandez after a first-round bye, and classmate Charisse Smalls (Lakewood, N.J./Lakewood) had a first-round bye before an 8-2 loss to Stockton's Colleen Anderson.

Senior Mary Skretkowicz (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) suffered an 8-2 loss against Debra Dress of Kean during the opening round of Flight A.
