FLUSHING, N.Y. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (6-4) fell to Division II Queens College (4-3), 134-103, Jan. 16.
Junior
Lauren Carney (East Brunswick, N.J. / East Brunswick) was a double winner for the Pioneers, touching first in the 50 free (27.73) and the 100 free (1:00.08). Freshman
Gabrielle Porcaro (Belleville, N.J./Belleville) took first in the 1,000 free (12:39.50).
The 200 medley relay team of
Kathryn Burke (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.),
Sam Schilling (West Caldwell, N.J./James Caldwell),
Brianna Shea (Turnersville, N.J. / Washington Twp.) and
Courtney Starace (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) turned in a winning time of 2:10.78.
William Paterson will go on the road to face The College of New Jersey on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2:00 p.m.
