Men’s Swimming & Diving Picks up Sixth-Straight Win

Pioneers Defeat Queens 131-112

Sophomore Donado Dervishi touched first in the 100 breast
FLUSHING, N.Y. – The William Paterson's men's swimming & diving team (6-3) earned its six-straight victory, defeating Division II Queens College (2-3), 131-112, Jan. 16.

Junior Troy Buglio (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) was a double winner for the Pioneers, placing first in the 500 free (5:22.56) and the 1,000 free (11:12.20). Sophomore Donado Dervishi (Garfield, N.J./Garfield) touched first in the 100 breast (1:02.81).

Sophomore Evan Marine (Forked River, N.J./Lacey Twp.) won the 100 back (1:00.43), and senior Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) took first in the 100 fly (55.64).

Junior Jeffrey Jaeckel (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley) took first in the one-meter optional dive with a score of 193.8.

William Paterson will go on the road to face The College of New Jersey on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2:00 p.m.
