HAVERFORD, Pa. - Senior forward Michelle Marabondo (Kenvil, N.J./Roxbury) scored the Pioneers' only goal, as the William Paterson women's soccer team (0-1-1) was defeated by Haverford (2-0) in the Haverford Tournament final, 3-1.

Marabondo started the game's scoring with a breakaway goal in the 54th minute. Haverford responded with three unanswered goals by Michelle Babicz, Kara McMahon and Meg Boyer.

Junior goalkeeper Mary Jane Seiler (Robbinsville, N.J./Robbinsville) made four saves in the first half and junior Alyssa Falduto (Nutley, N.J./Nutley) saved three of the six shots sent her way in the second half. Robin Chernow blocked two of three shots for Haverford.

The Pioneers will travel to Patchogue, N.Y. to face St. Joseph's College on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at 7:00 p.m.
