PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Sophomore
Jeffrey Jaeckel (Kenilworth, N.J./David Brearley) placed third in the one-meter dive final (308.90) to lead the William Paterson men's swimming and diving team during the first day of the Metropolitan Championships Feb. 17 at Rutgers University.
The 400 medley relay team of sophomore
Jason Koros (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest), junior
Joseph Pannullo (Hazlet, N.J./Raritan), junior
Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) and senior
Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) touched fifth in the B Final (3:47.88).

Alex Carpenter (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial), freshman
Ryan Napolitano (Milltown, N.J./St. Joseph) and senior
Brian Birkbeck (Absecon, N.J./Holy Spirit) were seventh in the 200 free relay B Final (1:30.80).
Zappile added an eighth-place finish in the 500 free C Final (5:03.34).
William Paterson will continue competition at the Metropolitan Championships Feb. 18-19.
