Samantha Miller (West Keansburg, N.J./Raritan) was honored as the Oct. 16 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tennis Player of the Week.
Miller teamed up with senior
Christina Puleo (Leonia, N.J./Leonia) for an 8-3 win at first doubles against Jessica Sickles and Laura Earlie, and was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Earlie at second singles, during a 9-0 victory against Farmingdale State Oct. 10. She and Puleo defeated Krystle Bendijo and Laura Church at first doubles, 8-4, and Miller also was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at second singles against Sam Koropchak Oct. 13 at Richard Stockton.
Miller is the second Pioneer to be honored by the league office this season, as Puleo represented WP as the Sept. 11, Oct. 2 and Oct. 9 NJAC Player of the Week.
William Paterson finished its fall season with a 7-3 overall record and a 3-3 mark in league play.
