KISSIMMEE, FLA. – Junior Michele Graham (Hawthorne, N.J./Hawthorne) pitched a pair of complete-game victories and senior Lindsey Nadolny (Belford, N.J./Middletown North) contributed four hits to help lead the William Paterson softball team (6-2) to a 7-3 win against Hood (1-10) and a 2-1 victory against Framingham State (1-6) March 16 at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Fla.

GAME ONE
The Pioneers scored in four of their six at-bats for a 7-3 win against Hood.

William Paterson wasted no time, scoring twice in the bottom of the first and using a Nadolny groundout to drive in Jillian Mulderig (Sewell, N.J./Washington Twp.) in the second.

Freshman Danielle Capozzi (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) singled in pinch runner Mandy Muraca (Miller Place, N.Y./Miller Place) for a 4-0 lead in the third, and Caitlyn Dean's (Haskell, N.J./Lakeland Regional) two-run double and Alexa Veniero's (Belleville, N.J./Belleville) RBI-single made it a 7-0 game after five innings. Hood scored all three of its runs during the top of the seventh.

Nadolny went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, while freshman Laura Henriquez (Westampton, N.J./Rancocas Valley Regional) was 2-for-4 and scored a pair of runs. Graham (3-1) allowed three runs on 10 hits, striking out two batters.

GAME TWO
William Paterson scored twice during the top of the ninth inning for a 2-1 win against Framingham State.

A double and a two-out single allowed Framingham to score the game's first run in the bottom of the third, and despite getting a runner to third in two previous innings, the Pioneers were scoreless entering their final at-bat. Nadolny singled to start the seventh, and senior Heather Mendez (Basking Ridge, N.J./Ridge) immediately followed with a triple to tie the game. After Mendez was lifted for a pinch runner in Henriquez, William Paterson had a popup for the first out of the inning, but Nicole Walls (Bordentown, N.J./Bordentown Regional) delivered a single to drive in the game-winning run for WP.

Nadolny had two of the Pioneers' eight hits. Graham (4-1) gave up one run on three hits, posting one strikeout.

William Paterson will finish play at the Rebel Spring Games Friday, March 18, taking on Wheaton (Mass.) and McDaniel.
