Puleo Gets Pair of Wins for Pioneers

Junior Christina Puleo improved to 9-2 at first singles with a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Richard Stockton.

WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson (5-3, 3-3 NJAC) dropped a hard-fought 5-4 tennis match to visiting Richard Stockton (6-3, 4-2 NJAC) Oct. 15.

Junior Christina Puleo (Leonia, N.J./Leonia) was a 6-3. 6-2 winner against Brittany Hall at first singles. The Pioneers got wins at second at third singles, as the Ospreys were forced to retire due to injuries with WP leading in both matches.

Puleo and sophomore Samantha Miller (West Keansburg, N.J./Raritan) defeated Krystle Bendijo and Laura Church at first doubles, 8-2.

William Paterson will finish its fall schedule with a home match against Staten Island Sunday, Oct. 16, at 1:00 p.m.
