WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (10-2) celebrated Senior Day with a 134-93 victory against Post (3-5) Jan. 29.
Four Pioneers were double winners against the Eagles. Senior
Andrew Scimeca (Lincoln Park, N.J./Morris County Tech) finished first in the one-meter (137.47) and three-meter (180.22) dives, while sophomore
Tyler Grady (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional) won the 100 (59.55) and 200 (2:11.89) backs. Junior
Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) touched first in the 500 (5:10.11) and 1,000 (10:43.31) frees, and classmate
Jeremy Lim (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) registered wins in the 100 (55.87) and 200 (2:14.88) flies. Sophomore
Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) added a victory in the 50 free (22.77).
As part of the day's activities, the Pioneers honored seniors
Alex Burdi (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) and Scimeca.
William Paterson will host Ramapo Tuesday, Feb. 1, at 6:00 p.m.
