Women's Swimming Wins at Queens, 149-116

Pioneers Defeat Division II Knights

Senior Tara Graham touched first in the 100 (1:08.89) and 200 (2:27.60) backs.
QUEENS, N.Y. – William Paterson (10-1) earned a 149-116 women's swimming and diving victory at Division II Queens (3-4) Jan. 19.

Senior Tara Graham (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Hills) touched first in the 100 (1:08.89) and 200 (2:27.60) backs, and junior Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) posted wins in the 100 (1:12.62) and 200 (2:40.23) breasts. Freshman Giuliana Trapani (Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes) also was a double winner in the 50 (26.98) and 100 (58.48) frees.

Graham, Kuchin, Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) and Trapani won the 200 medley relay (2:01.1), and Graham, Lauren Carney (East Brunswick, N.J./East Brunswick), Mendoza and Taylor McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) touched first in the 400 free relay (4:01.53).

The Pioneers will compete at The College of New Jersey Sunday, Jan. 23, at 2:00 p.m.
