QUEENS, N.Y. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team (9-1) earned a 154-122 victory at Division II Queens (0-4) on Jan. 19.
Junior
Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) posted victories in the 500 (5:16.22) and 1,000 (11:03.47) frees, while senior
Andrew Scimeca (Lincoln Park, N.J./Morris County Tech) won the one-meter required (150.80) and optional (188.80) dives.
Junior
Jeremy Lim (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) touched first in the 200 fly (2:04.97), sophomore
Sebastian Schrils (Washington, N.J./Warren Hills Regional) won the 50 free (22.96) and freshman
Jason Koros (Mays Landing, N.J./Oakcrest) was the winner of the 200 back (2:08.27).
Tyler Grady (Ringwood, N.J./Lakeland Regional),
Mazen Yousef (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East), Lim and Schrils posted a victory in the 200 medley relay (1:45.84).
The Pioneers will compete at The College of New Jersey Sunday, Jan. 23, at 2:00 p.m.
