BRISTOL, R.I. – William Paterson (2-1) used goals by three different Pioneers to take home the Roger Williams/Turfer Men's Soccer Classic title, defeating Plymouth State (1-1) 3-0 in the championship match Sept. 5.

Senior
Ryan Miller (Colonia, N.J./Colonia) got the offense started for the Pioneers when he headed in a Valerio free kick in the 16th minute, staking William Paterson to the early lead. Boucher later made it a 2-0 edge, chipping a failed clearance over the goalkeeper's head for an unassisted score in the 23rd minute.
Lowe collected his second goal of the season when he took the ball away from a Plymouth State defender in the middle of the field and scored to the left side of the frame, accounting for the match's final goal in the 77th minute.
Junior
Zach Collins (Bayville, N.J./Central Regional) made three saves in goal for the Pioneers. Bjorn Ohlsson had four stops for the Panthers. William Paterson owned a 20-13 advantage in shots, and an 8-3 edge in corner kicks.
William Paterson will enjoy a week off before facing the host Ducks in the first round of the Stevens College Classic Friday, Sept. 10, at 7:00 p.m.
