ONEONTA, N.Y. – Senior Jonathan Donado (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley) and junior Ambrogio Pipitone (Paramus, N.J./Paramus) earned spots on the All-Tournament Team as William Paterson (4-1-1) defeated Skidmore (2-2) 2-1 Sept. 12 during the consolation game of the Mayor's Cup Men's Soccer Tournament in Oneonta, N.Y.

After surrendering the first goal of the game to Skidmore's Doug Yeates during the 37th minute of play, Pipitone knotted the score at 1-1 when he took advantage of a ball misplayed by Thoroughbred keeper Nick Peterson, knocking it home 3:08 into the second half for his fourth goal of the season.

Freshman Andrew Tauriello (Stockton, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional) then found the perfect time to score his first career goal, heading in a Matthew Heitmann (Westwood, N.J./St. Joseph Regional) indirect kick with 1:58 to play for the game winner.

Pioneer senior goalkeeper Dan Peragallo (North Brunswick, N.J./North Brunswick) had four saves, while Peterson made seven stops for Skidmore. The Pioneers out-shot the Thoroughbreds by a 21-8 count and had 17 corners compared to their opponent's three.

The Pioneers will return to action Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Arcadia at 4:00 p.m.
