NEWBURGH, N.Y. – The William Paterson men's swimming and diving team won its third straight Mount Saint Mary Invitational title with 522.5 team points Oct. 31. The Pioneers finished ahead of SUNY Maritime (383.5), Elms (216), MSMC (170) and SUNY Cobleskill (29) to win the event for the fourth time in the last five years.

Voyta Karas (Brno, Czech Republic) was a triple winner, touching first in the 50 (22.29), 100 (49.04) and 200 (1:53.43) frees. Classmate
Stefan Rosales (Rahway, N.J./St. Joseph's-Metuchen) won the 50 (26.98) and 100 (58.31) backs, and senior
Kirk Smith (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) finished first in the 50 (28.77) and 100 (1:04.51) breasts. Sophomore
Edward Zappile (Oak Ridge, N.J./Jefferson Twp.) posted a winning time of 5:19.81 in the 500 free.
The Pioneer 200 medley relay team of Rosales, Smith,
Jeremy Lim (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) and Karas touched first in a time of 1:45.86.
William Paterson will compete at SUNY Maritime Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 6:00 p.m.
