Volleyball Rolls Past St. Joseph's-Brooklyn

Pioneers Score First 10 Points of Match in Victory

Elisa Brown had five kills and a match-best eight digs against the Lady Bears.

WAYNE, N.J. – William Paterson (11-3) scored the first 10 points of the match and never looked back, rolling past St. Joseph's-Brooklyn (3-7) 25-7, 25-6, 25-12 Oct. 3 at the Rec Center. The victory was the fifth straight for the Pioneers.

Sophomore Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) had six kills, three assists and six digs, while junior Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) contributed a match-best 13 assists while adding three service aces. Senior Elisa Brown (Norwalk, Conn./Norwalk) posted five kills to go along with a match-best eight digs, and freshman Liz Dykhouse (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) added six service aces and five assists. Junior Michelle Leeder (Ridgefield, N.J./Ridgefield Memorial), freshman Kelly Shaw (Wallington, N.J./Wallington) and junior Stephanie Fox (Hawthorne, N.J./Paramus Catholic) each had four kills for the Pioneers.

Victoria Curran led the Lady Bears with two kills, four assists and two digs.

William Paterson will host Rowan Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7:00 p.m.
