EWING, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team (10-2, 0-2 NJAC) fell to host The College of New Jersey (7-2, 3-0 NJAC) 173-116 Jan. 25, ending the Pioneers' 10-meet win streak.

Cathy Hartwell (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) was the lone individual winner for the Pioneers, touching first in the 50 (25.86) and 100 (56.81) frees. Hartwell, along with senior

Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) and freshman
Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic), posted a winning time of 1:57.57 in the 200 medley relay.
Second-place efforts were turned in by McKay in the 100 fly (1:02.56) and 100 (1:02.59) and 200 (2:18.03) backs, Kuchin in the 100 (1:13.65) and 200 (2:40.47) breasts, and sophomore
Lauren Horowitz (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) in the 500 free (5:52.28).
William Paterson will return to Wightman Pool Tuesday, Feb. 3, when the Pioneers host Ramapo at 6:00 p.m.
