Volleyball Opens Campaign with 3-0 Victory at Saint Elizabeth

Ferrarella Earns 499th Career Victory

HACKENSACK, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team (1-0) opened its season with a 3-0 victory (25-13, 25-10, 25-8) at Saint Elizabeth Sept. 3. The win was the 499th of the 30-year career of head coach Sandy Ferrarella (449-330).

Sophomore Jillian Bronowich (Secaucus, N.J./Secaucus) had 16 assists for the Pioneers, while junior Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) posted 10 kills and six block solos, and freshman Megan Maher (Wood-Ridge, N.J./Wood-Ridge) contributed six kills and five assists in the victorious effort.

William Paterson will make its home debut Saturday, Sept. 6, facing St. Joseph's-Long Island at 12:00 p.m. and Manhattanville at 4:00 p.m.
