Amanda Kurdyla (Denville, N.J./Morris Knolls) scored all four Pioneer goals as the William Paterson women's soccer team improved to 4-0 this season with a 4-2 victory at Immaculata (0-3-2) Sept. 13.
The Mighty Macs struck first with an Athena Campbell goal in the 18th minute, but Kurdyla came off the bench and went to work, finishing a
Kelly Bray (Whippany, N.J./Whippany Park) pass to tie the match in the 32nd minute, and giving William Paterson a 2-1 edge in the 42nd minute off an assist from
Ashley Grabowski (Woodbridge, N.J./Woodbridge).
Another Grabowski pass resulted in Kurdyla's third goal of the day 5:42 into the second half, and gave Grabowski her second career point. WP's all-time goals and points leader later finished the Pioneers' scoring in the 57th minute, knocking in a
Kathleen Maggi (New Milford, N.J./New Milford) pass for a 4-1 lead. Immaculata tacked on a corner-kick score in the 60th minute.
Senior
Caitlin Kiernan (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) made two saves for the Pioneers in the first half, and junior
Meaghan Baker (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls) did not make a stop during the final 45:00.
William Paterson will return to campus to host Centenary Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 7:00 p.m.
