WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson women's swimming and diving team improved to 6-1 this season, winning every event against Division I foe NJIT (0-6), 68-23, Dec. 2 at Wightman Pool.

Lauren Horowitz (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough) was the winner in the 500 free (5:59.4) and 1,000 (10:06.48) frees, while senior
Cathy Hartwell (Toms River, N.J./Toms River East) touched first in the 100 (58.6) and 200 (2:10.1) frees. Freshman
Brett Kuchin (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) finished first in the 200 IM (2:30.3) and 200 breast (2:43.5), senior
Grace McKay (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) was the winner of the 50 free (25.8) and 200 back (2:19.8), and freshman
Lesly Mendoza (Passaic, N.J./Paramus Catholic) placed first in the 200 fly (2:34.6).
William Paterson will celebrate Parents Appreciation Day Saturday, Dec. 6, when the Pioneers host Drew at 1:00 p.m.
