WAYNE, N.J. – The William Paterson volleyball team improved its record to 4-0 with a three-game victory against St. Elizabeth (0-1), 30-7, 30-14 and 30-19, in the Pioneers' home opener Sept. 4.

Sophomore Kelly Helfrich (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) paced the Pioneers with 11 kills, a .500 hitting percentage, five service aces and five block solos. Senior Tamara Miller (Maplewood, N.J./Columbia) added nine kills and a team-best six digs, and classmate Dana Hansen (Fair Lawn, N.J./Fair Lawn) collected six kills, five digs and 19 assists.

The Pioneers will return to action Saturday, Sept. 8, at the New York City Tech Tournament.
