WPU Loses to Johns Hopkins

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The William Paterson baseball team (0-1-1) fell to Johns Hopkins, 19-8, at the Greater Phoenix (Ariz.) Invitational March 10.

The eight Pioneer hits came from eight different players. Freshman right fielder Mike Guadango (Upper Saddle River, N.J./Northern Highlands) was 1-for-3 with a double and three RBI, while senior Ryan Brand (Monroe, N.J./Monroe) was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Senior Tim Cowan (Elizabeth, N.J./Roselle Catholic) suffered the loss, allowing nine runs in 3.1 innings on the hill.

The Pioneers will play a doubleheader against Keene State Sunday, March 11, at 9:30 a.m. (local time) in Phoenix.
